Bio – Michael Farina

Michael Farina

Education: State University of New York at Buffalo. Graduated Magna Cum Laude (Phi Beta Kappa) with a B.A. in Economics in 1987. Graduated Albany Law School of Union University in June 1990. Michael Farina was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 1991. After working for a small solo practitioner doing no asset Chapter 7 cases, Mr. Farina moved on to practice law with Andrew M. Thaler, Panel Chapter 7 Trustee for the Eastern District of New York at Goldman, Horowitz & Cherno, Esqs. At that time, Mr. Farina specialized in all aspects of Chapter 7 Trustee work, including but not limited to sale of assets, preference and fraudulent conveyance litigation, objection to claims and fee applications. When Andrew Thaler left Goldman Horowitz to form his own firm of Thaler & Gertler, LLP, Mr. Farina continued the Trustee work with Mr. Thaler for an additional ten years before joining Pryor & Mandelup L.L.P. in August of 2008. Mr. Farina still focuses his practice of law on Chapter 7 Trustee work along with occasional Chapter 7 Debtor representation.
